Holiday Rates
The holidays can be a busy time of year for me as a sole proprietor of Capital Critter Sitters DC where I wear many hats - CEO, CFO, COO, scheduler, and the entire HR department all while doing all the dog walks and cat visits on a daily basis. Whew!
Because of the increased requests over the holiday, I add additional walkers and sitters to help keep up with the demand. To cover the cost of the seasonal part-time help, there is an additional surcharge for the holidays. Rest assured the additional walkers and sitters are personally vetted by me and used only when needed. This allows me to service as many pets as possible while keeping my commitment to provide a family-like relationship.

What are your 'peak' holidays?
Below are the holidays that I considered major or peak holidays, where demand is at its highest through the dates listed for each.

How does this work?
There will be an additional $20 charge per day if the request is made in the month of that holiday for a day considered a 'peak holiday date'. For the major holidays that are at the beginning or middle of the month, there is a little more leeway.
The closer to the holiday, about 10 days before and through the 'peak days' of the holiday, this price increases to an additional $50 per day.

Responsibility of the Client
- Schedule early to avoid the additional charge. If you are not certain the exact dates you need service, it is still best to schedule early with extra days and make adjustments when you finalize your plans.
- There is no charge for reducing the number of days or vists regardless of when the request is made.
- Even if you schedule early, if you need to add an extra day and you do it within these dates listed for the holiday surcharges, you will be charged the higher price as noted above.
- Requests for services will only be accepted via email and must be sent before 5PM the day before the increased rate goes into effect. Please allow 24 hours for confirmation. Sending it any later will not guarantee you the lower price.
- While text a cancellations are allowed, please follow it up with an email to confirm so that there is record of the request.
